Sterling wanted to believe in his marriage; he wanted to believe that he had disappointed his wife for the last time. That might've been possible, if he hadn't met the young, beautiful and willing Hanna. This time however, he wasn't the aggressor. Yet as he allowed his heart to be captured, he knew that life would never be the same. Sterling's trip to the mountains of Colorado leads him straight into the arms of Hanna, the Innkeeper's Daughter. “You are really a great, teacher, Hanna,” I said when we sat down inside the resort’s restaurant. I was actually surprised. Although it was difficult, she made it somewhat simpler. “You make it enjoyable.” "Thank you.” Hanna lowered her head, pushing her hair behind her left ear. She slowly raised her head to retort. “That’s because we’ve just started. You just wait until we get on the slopes.” Her bottom lip twitched as she spoke, then she turned away after staring a few seconds too long. Her shyness what refreshing; welcoming even. I could not help but stare at the wide-eyed beauty. She seemed to have a great personality. When we talked, I could not help but notice her features. She could easily pass for her mid-twenties instead of only nineteen; her bone structure was so developed. What I noted the most was her mouth. It was exceptional; pink, pouty and full. White icing from a cupcake clung to her top lip, though she hadn’t become aware of it. And for a split second I was jealous of a non-living element. She noticed me staring at her lips and licked the sweetness off, trying not to stare as she did so. I wanted to reach across the table and kiss her. Everything she did was seductive. There was an air about her that pulled me in, but I didn’t even know her. Yes, I’d crossed the line before; that was an unexpected mistake. This one was staring me in the face, daring me to take another risk. Dormaine was born in Long Island, New York where she lived most of her life. As an adult she liked to travel out of the country though her favorite places to explore were her fantasy worlds as an author. She may be a nurse by profession but her heart has always belonged to writing. As a young child she spent many Saturdays in the library nurturing her love for books. There she discovered her fascination for the science fiction genre, through books, movies and graphic novels. Now she resides in Colorado with her husband and two feisty dogs. After many years of working in hospitals and travel nursing she took time off to pursue a career in writing. Her first novel "Connor" is in one of her favorite genres, young adult urban fantasy. Her second love is for horror of which she created the "Madame Lilly, Voodoo Priestess" series. This is just the start of her exploration as she stays locked up her office in Colorado spinning more tales.
