I was warned about Tristan Cole.

“Stay away from him,” people said.
“He’s cruel.”
“He’s cold.”
“He’s damaged.”

It’s easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster.

But I couldn’t do that. I had to accept the wreckage that lived inside of him because it also lived inside of me.

We were both empty.
We were both looking for something else. Something more.
We both wanted to put together the shattered pieces of our yesterdays.

Then perhaps we could finally remember how to breathe.

Author Bio

Brittainy Cherry has been in love with words since the day she took her first breath. She graduated from Carroll University with a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Creative Writing. She loves to take part in writing screenplays, acting, and dancing--poorly of course. Coffee, chai tea, and wine are three things that she thinks every person should partake in! Brittainy lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her family. When she's not running a million errands and crafting stories, she's probably playing with her adorable pets.

This cover is simply yummy. It just called my name. If you have read any of my reviews, you may be aware I often (OK, a lot) pick my books based on the cover. This was the best pick ever, a must read.

This a contemporary romance by Brittainy. This is the first in series. The author has many other books, so check out her page.

First, I must tell you you have to read this book.
Second, make sure to have the tissues ready. Because you will be on an emotional roller coaster.

Here is the gist of the book. Two broken people Elizabeth and Tristan, who are trying to deal with the loss of a family member. They come together in an unconventional way to repair their hearts.

Amazing characters, I connected in such a way that I was crying only a few pages in. Then I was laughing again. A very believable story. I enjoyed the characters. At one point, I did think the author was reaching a bit, but in the end it did play out well.

I have said it several times. Pick this book up. It comes out in a few days and you will not be disappointed. Read it and let me know what you thought.

Happy Reading!
