Debt Inheritance (Indebted #1) by Pepper Winters

Blurb

“I own you. I have the piece of paper to prove it. It’s undeniable and unbreakable. You belong to me until you’ve paid off your debts.”

Nila Weaver’s family is indebted. Being the first born daughter, her life is forfeit to the first born son of the Hawks to pay for sins of ancestors past. The dark ages might have come and gone, but debts never leave. She has no choice in the matter.

She is no longer free.

Jethro Hawk receives Nila as an inheritance present on his twenty-ninth birthday. Her life is his until she’s paid off a debt that’s centuries old. He can do what he likes with her—nothing is out of bounds—she has to obey.

There are no rules. Only payments.

A modern day Dark Erotic Romance

This is my first book from Pepper Winters. I'm not sure why since all her other books are on my kindle.
I would rate this at a 4/5. For my own selfish reasons. I swooned over Jethro the whole book. Yes, he's an ass. But for F**k sake, he had grey hair. That is possibly my biggest weakness. I think that's the sexiest thing on earth.
I could really see him trying to fight his inner demons and not be like his father. Along with being totally consumed by Nila.
Now Nila, I'm not too sure about her yet.
I'm about 50/50 with her. She seemed strong and then let everything go to shit. She seemed to be easily ameable by the Hawks.
I am eager to read more and see where the story leads. It did end in the dreaded cliffhanger but I believe Pepper did a great job laying out the story to have me wanting more of Jethro.
